I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
